HDR Class at Cherokee Photography Club

I will be teaching an introduction to HDR Imagery tomorrow at Cherokee Photography Club. It will be at the Arts Center in downtown Canton from 9am – 12:30pm. I am not real sure if it is open to the public or not, contact Naomi Shively for details if interested. naomishively@yahoo.com.

I will be processing some of my own images from start to finish and hopefully a few from the audience. I will be using Photomatix Pro 4, Photoshop CS%, Topaz Adjust 5 and Lightroom 3 to do the processing.

“Door With Bells”

“Door With Bells” was captured at the old home next door. I was just playing around with some new looks at some old things. It was dreary foggy and damp which tended to soften and saturate things. I really liked the nandina against the white and green of the house. I also liked the old bell windchime hanging from the awning. This image is an HDR processed with my normal routine. Another example of being out and photographing at home or near home when you can’t get out to anywhere else. There are photographs everywhere you look, so learn to look everywhere.

“Gloves”

“Gloves” was captured one foggy rainy morning at the house next door. It was too nasty to go anywhere else to shoot so I decided to stay close to home. I was rambling around in an old garage and spotted these old gloves laying in the dirt.

The image is a multiple exposure HDR processed in Photomatix Pro 4 and then tweaked in Lightroom 3. Just goes to show you great images are found anywhere at anytime. Never underestimate things in your backyard.
